    NATO, just as any international organisaiton, needs to strenghten and diversify its partnerships for two simple reasons:
    1) NATO can’t cover ALL the activities (especially humanitarian, relief, development & reconstruction) by itself. In this sense, it needs to find more flexible ways to cooperate with UN troops in Afghanistan for example.
    2) Increased legitimacy is vital for NATO to be able to win the total confidence and support of local populations in its areas of action. Partnerships with other international organisations such as the UN bring a positive light on NATO’s actions and ensure local parties’ support.

    aftermath the collapse of Soviet Union, NATO has made a decision to have new missions in the world.The missions is still ongoing and according to my individually ideas, the missions have been accieving successfully.
